One of my dear friends from high school got married a few weeks ago, and I had the great pleasure of capturing the day. I spent the majority of my morning with the bride, her two bridesmaids, and a bottomless glass of mimosa; the better half of the afternoon walking around, snapping shots of the venue and all of the gorgeous décor; and the rest of my evening dancing with the guests and tipping back longnecks and holding my camera above my head in the middle of various moshpits. If that doesn’t tell you anything about the wedding day, I don’t know what does. The bride and groom, both equally chill, made the day quite fun, which made for some beautiful wedding portraits, if I do say so myself. Having a job that I am passionate (and a tad neurotic) about sometimes makes it hard for me to be fluid. And that’s why I love weddings like Kayla and Luke’s. There is an effortlessness to a wedding when the couple is as low-maintenance and in love as these two.
Congrats, you guys. Thanks for letting me be a part of it all.
