Over a month ago, I had this wedding almost completely edited, and then, my computer crashed. Everything was gone. Now, I'm not new to technical difficulties and certainly not new to bad luck, so I had all the raw files backed up. All I had to do was start over.
I presumed it was because God decided I just didn't do it right the first time.
Instead of being mad at having to pour over thousands of photos and spend twenty more hours editing, I laughed. It made me think about how I, so often, don't do it right the first time. Or the second. Or the twenty-seventh time. And God just cleans the slate and lets me start over from scratch.
I won't go into any boring details, but the whole concept of forgiveness and redemption and second chances really hit home for me after this glorious lovefest of a wedding.
